Married & Professional Women

Sheridan offers every woman the opportunity to expand her knowledge, expertise and appreciation for her family and home.  Whether married or single, working outside the home or at home, taking care of the family and a home is a beautiful profession and the greatest service one can provide to society and the building up of civilization.

Women often transition from the workplace to the home and back several times during their lifetime. Our  programs for single and married professional women help them appreciate the significant contributions they make in the workplace, the family and in society at large.

Classes on catholic doctrine

A series of seminars which address philosophical and theological issues as they pertain to the Catholic Faith and daily living

Classes take place at Sheridan and other locations throughout Houston.

spiritual activities

A Recollection is a time to break away from the hustle and bustle of daily life and think about our spiritual life for a few hours.

Recollections are conducted by priests of Opus Dei and take place at Sheridan and other locations throughout the greater Houston area.

A longstanding tradition in Christian life, retreats provide an opportunity to reflect on your everyday life in light of basic Christian principles, and to deepen your personal relationship with God. The retreats are conducted by priests of Opus Dei. These retreats help you fuse faith with life. The schedule includes Holy Mass, reflections on Sacred Scripture, talks on virtues, praying of the Rosary, and time for private prayer and reading.  Retreats are held  at Featherock Conference Center in Schulenburg, TX.

art of living for women

The Art of Living for Women is a series of seminars on the art of creating a home that fosters human flourishing.

Our modular curriculum combines classes, demonstrations and hands-on experience, giving women the skills they need to care for their family with confidence and artistry.

Our seminars are founded on the dignity of the person, marriage and family, and embrace all women regardless of religious, racial, ethnic or economic status.

mentoring

Sheridan offers the opportunity for one-on-one mentoring in a positive learning environment that encourages women to strive for excellence in the present moment.

Today’s women struggle to raise not only healthy families, but also holy families anchored in Catholicism.

Sheridan's mentoring program for women provides spiritual accompaniment to aid women in their vocation.

Most of the programs offered at Sheridan provide participants with one-on-one mentoring.
